Resistance is the only way to thwart US pressure

Grand Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran visiting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

NOURNEWS - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Saturday that the successful experiences of Iran and Venezuela in the fight against the US sanctions and heavy pressures proved that the resistance is the only way to thwart such pressures. Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran with visiting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. The Leader hailed the resistance of President Maduro and the Venezuelan nation, and said that today the US’ look at Venezuela is different from the past. Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the scientific and technological progress made by the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past recent years, and said that these steps were taken while the country was under the toughest and most unprecedented sanctions which the US called them “maximum pressure”. President Maduro arrived in the Iranian capital on Friday for a two-day visit.
