NOURNEWS- According to the Baghdad Al-Youm website, the Canadian ambassador to Iraq met with the new Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi yesterday, Saturday.
The statement came from the Iraqi Prime Minister's Office in a statement.
"The Iraqi prime minister hosted the Canadian ambassador to Baghdad, who congratulated him on the formation of the Iraqi government," the statement said.
The statement also stressed that the Canadian ambassador stressed the government's determination and interest in advancing cooperation between the two sides. According to the statement, al-Kazemi also expressed his gratitude and appreciation that Canada is a friendly and allied country to Iraq and hopes that cooperation between the two countries in areas such as oil and agriculture will expand.
