Qalibaf warns Israel of Iran’s tough response

The speaker of the Iranian Parliament shrugged off the Israeli prime minister’s fiery rhetoric, warning that Iran’s reaction to practical threats will ignite a powder keg that will engulf not only the Zionist regime, but also all American bases across the region.

Addressing a Tuesday session of the Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf derided the Israeli prime minister’s threats against Iran as a sheer attempt at torpedoing the indirect negotiations between Iran and the US.

Iran does not take Netanyahu’s worthless rhetoric seriously and believes that the Zionist regime cannot take any measure independently without permission from the US, he stated.

Qalibaf also warned that if the slightest threat against Iran is carried out, Tehran will give a decisive response.

“An act of aggression against our country will be tantamount to setting fire to a powder keg in the region that will expose not only the Zionist regime, but also all American bases in the region, to Iran’s tough response,” the Parliament speaker warned.

Describing the Israeli prime minister’s threats against Iran as a desperate attempt to escape his political death, Qalibaf said Iran has freedom of action at the broadest dimensions to upgrade its assault power and also has the necessary determination and know-how to do so.

In remarks on March 31, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warned the enemies that any evil action against Iran will draw its harsh retaliatory response.

“First, if any hostile act is committed from outside —though the likelihood is not high— it will undoubtedly be met with a strong counterstrike. Second, if the enemy, as in previous years, seeks to incite internal sedition, the nation will respond decisively to the instigators, just as it has in the past,” the Leader stated.
