Rubble of genocide in Gaza; funeral of humanity in Rome

The funeral ceremony of Pope Francis, held in the presence of the heads of Western nations, turned into a scene for displaying philanthropy. But who does not know that the Western nations’ position regarding crises and wars has nothing to do with the ethical principles of the Pope, and that the important issue for them is to gain more advantages even at the cost of war and killings.

Nournews: The funeral ceremony of Pope Francis attracted much attention in recent days as an important global event held with the participation of senior officials from different countries. From Emmanuel Macron, President of France, to senior officials of the European Union and even the President of the US, all attended the ceremony.

These people recalled the late Pope as a symbol of humanity and ethics in their speeches and introduced themselves as followers of his thoughts. In addition, Western media introduced the Pope as a model of ethics and philanthropy in their articles.
However, behind displays of philanthropy and speeches full of kindness, the global developments that occurred on the funeral day of the Pope explicitly showed that the stances of the leaders of Western nations were merely a cover-up for political and economic advantages.
While many people across the world, followers of different religions, were mourning the death of Pope Francis — a global figure and symbol of peace and humanity — Western leaders were seeking their own interests, turning the ceremony into a venue for advancing their political goals and extortion during times of crisis.

Extortion on the sidelines of the event
Western leaders did not try to show real unity with the peace-seeking messages of the Pope while offering complimentary remarks about his personality and philosophy of humanitarianism.
Very explicitly, Trump, in his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, showed that he was more interested in seeking economic and political advantages rather than honoring the memory of the Pope.
In addition, European officials, while apparently sad and mourning, cannot introduce themselves as true followers of the Pope’s school of peace and philanthropy, because of their clear support for wars in some regions of the world, particularly the killing of women and children by the Zionist regime of Israel.

Gaza and the death of humanity
Pope Francis was always sensitive to the pain and suffering of Palestinians, and in several speeches, he criticized the tyrannies of the Zionist regime regarding Palestinians. He particularly emphasized the disastrous condition of Gaza and tyranny in this region and had called on the global community several times to address this humanitarian crisis.
Gaza was in a critical condition on the day of the Pope’s funeral, and reports by international entities mirrored the humanitarian disaster in the region.
But on the same day, no reactions were seen from the leaders of Western nations regarding the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the disastrous condition of the Palestinian people.
The Zionist regime continued bombing Gaza, and people in the region were struggling with threats such as starvation, disease, and hunger. None of the leaders of the Western countries attending the funeral ceremony of the Pope reacted to these tyrannies and even supported the Zionist regime at times.

Burial of humanity and human dignity
While the heads of Western nations were trying to introduce themselves as supporters of humanity and ethics, in fact, their stances were not only in opposition to the principles and messages of the Pope but also mirrored their deceit and duality in politics.
Instead of real attention to the problems of humans and supporting oppressed people, particularly in Palestine and other parts of the world, they sought political and economic advantages during the ceremony.
This behavior showed that Westerners, instead of following the thoughts and ethos of the Pope, remained silent in the face of the Zionist regime’s crimes and even supported it at times. Such an approach showed that the funeral ceremony of the Pope not only indicated the absence of a religious leader but also was a display of deceit by Western leaders that has nothing to do with humanity and real ethics.
One must say that the ceremony was a symbol of the burial of humanity and humanitarian dignity, because the leaders of the Western nations showed that they never adhered to ethics and philanthropy in practice. These leaders not only lied about their support for peace and humanity but also became complicit in the crimes of the Zionist regime by remaining silent and supporting its actions.
