Aq-Qala is a city in the north of Iran and the capital of Aq-Qala County in Golestan Province. It is situated on the Gorgan Plain near the Gorganroud River. Thanks to its fertile lands, agriculture and animal husbandry are thriving in the region.

Aq-Qala is home to a significant population of Turkmen people and is recognized as one of Iran's cultural centers. Traditional farming, local markets, and the distinctive traditional clothing of the people are key cultural features of the city. The historic Aq-Qala Bridge, which dates back to the Safavid era, is one of the main historical and tourist landmarks of the area.
