Hossein Abdi, who recently guided Iran’s U20 side during the AFC U20 Asian Cup qualifiers for China 2025, is among those under consideration.
Mojtaba Hosseini, currently managing Aluminum in the domestic league, is also on the shortlist. The 50-year-old was previously linked to the U23 post but chose to continue at club level.
The other candidates include Yahya Golmohammadi, head coach of Foolad, and Saeid Daghighi, currently in charge of second-tier side Kheybar.
Iran’s U23 team has been without a coach since Enayati stepped down following a disappointing campaign at the 2022 Asian Games.
