During the meeting, they discussed the current status and future prospects of bilateral relations and emphasized the expansion of cooperation in various fields such as economy, transportation, energy, trade, and investment.
The Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister described the recent visit of the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran to Azerbaijan as successful and expressed satisfaction with the progress of joint projects between the two countries.
Ahmadian, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, welcomed the development of bilateral relations and stated that he had conveyed the Azerbaijani side's readiness for enhanced relations to the high-ranking Iranian officials.
He stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has a positive and brotherly view towards Azerbaijan and believes that the cooperation potential between the two countries is greater than the current situation.
The Iranian official also mentioned that he will pursue issues of mutual interest, such as energy route development and the establishment of corridors for Azerbaijan's connection to India and China, as well as access to open seas, in order to advance bilateral relations.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other regional and bilateral issues of interest.
