Grossi Repeated Past Claims About Iran’s Nuclear Program

The Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reiterated his previous claims, stating that “A nuclear deal between Iran and the new administration of the United States is vital.”

Nournews: Rafael Grossi, who traveled to Davos to participate in the Annual Summit of the Global Economic Forum, told reporters that “Iran will continue to accumulate highly enriched uranium” and called for the resumption of a new round of negotiations with Tehran.

According to IRNA, Iran’s peaceful nuclear program became an unnecessary crisis due to baseless accusations under the influence of pressure from the U.S. and the Zionist regime. Before the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Western powers tried to shift the topic to a security issue, linking its resolution to sanctions and military actions by presenting Iran’s nuclear program as a threat to international peace and security, based on Chapter 7 of the United Nations Charter.
