In an interview with Nournews, an informed official denied the targeted news reports about the departure of Iranian political cadres and military advisors from Syria, stating "As has been repeatedly announced, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been present alongside the people and government of this country from the beginning, at the request of the Syrian government to combat takfiri terrorism, and this process will continue."
The official emphasized that there has been no change in the fundamental policies of our country in supporting Syria, and as long as the Syrian government requests it, the past trend will continue.
The informed official further stressed, "Such news fabrication is a significant part of the comprehensive war waged by the hegemonic system to boost the morale of mercenary terrorists and cannot affect the resolve of the Resistance axis to continue countering the enemies' plans to create insecurity and instability in the region."
