Important lessons from terrorist attacks in Syria

The Resistance Front has demonstrated that it will never yield to U.S.-Zionist extortion through the instrument of terrorism. The fate faced by the Zionists in Gaza and Lebanon will be repeated in the proxy terrorist war, leaving disgrace for those who supported terrorists and placed their trust in the promises of the U.S. and the Zionist regime.

Nournews: In recent days, Takfiri terrorists under the banner of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham have launched attacks against Syrian government forces in Aleppo province. With a heavy media display, they aim to create a climate of fear, incite waves of refugees to be used as human shields against Syrian operations, and, through exaggerated depictions of their so-called achievements—resembling Hollywood productions—recruit members from other terrorist groups and even those in hiding. At the same time, they enjoy extensive foreign military support.

This aggression by terrorist groups comes with several critical messages for Aleppo’s recent developments. First, these events reveal the destructive security role of the Zionist regime across the region. Evidence indicates that Zionists had pre-planned this terrorist assault and have been central in arming and directing the terrorists. Their ties to groups like al-Nusra in Syria are so deep that injured militants have been treated in Zionist hospitals, with Netanyahu even visiting them.

The timing of the recent wave of terrorist attacks with the ceasefire between the Zionist regime and Lebanon further confirms this connection. Over the past weeks, the Zionists have repeatedly targeted border crossings between Lebanon and Syria, aiming to sever resistance connections. Their strikes on other areas of Syria, including Homs, reveal attempts to divert attention from terrorist mobilization in Aleppo. Concurrently, by igniting conflict in Lebanon, they sought to draw Hezbollah forces from Syria, granting more operational space to the terrorists. Notably, a Zionist newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, citing intelligence sources, disclosed that Israel had prior knowledge of the Aleppo attack and worked to expedite it to keep Iran and Hezbollah preoccupied for years, thereby undermining the Resistance axis.

It is clear that the Zionist regime, having suffered defeats in Gaza and Lebanon, is now trying—with U.S. assistance—to restore its lost military capability while simultaneously exhausting the Resistance in Syria. Their goal extends beyond weakening Syria to its possible fragmentation while simultaneously preparing for Gaza’s complete destruction. New dimensions of aggression toward Lebanon in the coming weeks are also anticipated. Netanyahu’s personal goals are what make the connections between Zionists and terrorists more apparent, as the rise of terrorists occurred at the same time Netanyahu claimed to have warned the Syrian president, aiming to mask his failures in Gaza and Lebanon through hollow displays of power to evade prosecution in court.

The unfolding events in Syria reaffirm that the primary threat to regional stability is the Zionist regime, which spares no crime to destabilize the area. If it achieves its objectives in Syria, the next target will undoubtedly be another regional state. Thus, a unified regional stance, from Arab nations to others, in support of Resistance forces in Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza, is critical for ensuring the region's overall security. The idea that silence or complicity with the Zionist regime and the U.S. against Syria or compromises over Gaza, could bring safety to any regional state is an illusion. Neighboring countries must avoid the miscalculation of supporting actions against Syria or ignoring terrorist threats.

Secondly, American behavior in recent months shows that terrorist movements are executed according to U.S. planning and support. Despite claims by Axios quoting a U.S. official that the current Takfiri attacks in Aleppo and Idlib caught the Biden administration off guard, the reality is that the U.S. has been the creator and supporter of terrorism in Syria and the region. Their hollow denials cannot hide their involvement. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has also stated that the lifeline of terrorist groups in the region is controlled by the U.S.

Recently, the U.S. established a significant security belt for terrorists. The U.S. Central Command recently alleged attacks on resistance weapons depots in Syria while supplying heavy military equipment to the terrorists. Some regional countries, for short-term goals, have joined this effort. This is further evidenced by CENTCOM’s report in mid-2024, warning that ISIS attacks in Syria and Iraq had doubled this year, while the U.S. has done little to counter these groups. Instead, they attacked Syrian Army positions, supported the Zionist regime militarily, prolonged the Gaza and Lebanon wars, and armed Ukraine, indirectly aiding terrorist resurgence.

Reports also suggest the U.S. is using Syrian terrorists for recruitment in Ukraine’s army and employing Ukrainian drone capabilities to arm terrorists. While publicly advocating for ceasefires and peace, the U.S. remains the root of regional instability through its direct support of the Zionist regime. Over the past year, the U.S. has spared no effort to arm Israel while simultaneously bombing resistance positions in Syria and creating safe zones for terrorists, all while distracting the region with diplomatic maneuvers.

Americans have raised the flag of talks and ceasefires with the aim of preoccupying countries and international organizations, while at the same time being involved in arming, training, and directing terrorists.

Recent events in Syria once again highlight the righteousness of the Resistance Front's stance, which identifies the U.S. as the root cause of regional crises. A united regional effort to expel the U.S. from Syria and Iraq can restore peace to the area.

The notion that the U.S. could be a savior or security provider is an illusion, akin to reliance on empty promises like the Abraham Accords, which only perpetuate regional crises. The U.S.’s actions today target Syria, and tomorrow they will plot against other regional nations, as their policy thrives on creating crises.

Any delay in countering terrorist activities in Syria endangers the hard-won gains of the past decade and plunges the region into a new cycle of instability.

Meanwhile, the semiotics of terrorist operation by hired terrorists like Hayat Tahrir al-Sham underscore the U.S.-Zionist plan to achieve hidden goals.

Syria has endured its toughest challenges with Resistance support and must continue on this path to confront new threats.

The entire region must rally behind the Resistance to counter terrorism and its U.S.-Zionist sponsors, thwarting the enemies' schemes against regional security.

Terrorists have proven they have no geographical limits, and achieving their objectives in Syria will embolden them to target neighboring Arab countries, Turkey, Iran, and eventually Europe. Over the past decade, Europe has repeatedly faced security threats from these groups.

While some in Europe may welcome the weakening of regional resistance, they should remember that such relief will be short-lived, as terrorists will eventually turn their sights on Europe.

Accordingly, if Europeans truly seek their own safety, they must first stop their silent stance concerning the terrorist violations in Syria. While condemning terrorism, they must also end their overt and covert support for the Zionists and the US. Secondly, they should pressure Western media, which has become a platform for terrorists and avoids using the term "terrorism" to describe them. Instead, the media deceitfully uses substitutes like "Syrian protests," "Assad’s opposition," and "Jihadis" to sanitize the image of terrorists. This behavior must change.

It is an undeniable fact that the only effective way to fight terrorism is through the Resistance Front. Any country seeking its own security, as well as the security of the region, has no option but to support the Resistance. Meanwhile, the Resistance Front has demonstrated that it will never yield to American-Zionist extortion through the tool of terrorism. The fate the Zionists faced in Lebanon and Gaza will be repeated in proxy terrorist wars, leaving disgrace for those who support terrorists and place their faith in American promises and the Zionist regime.
