Eslami: IAEA has a strong presence in all fields

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the specialized exhibition of Laser, Photonic and Quantum, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency said that the organization is strongly active in all sciences and technologies in line with its goals.

Nournews: The fifth specific exhibition of Laser, Photonic and Quantum was launched in the presence of Mohammad Eslami, the head of IAEA, along with a number of senior officials from the nuclear industry as well as MPs in Tehran.
Referring to the 13th of Aban, which coincides with the National Day of Students in Iran, as well as the day Iranians captured the embassy of the United States and called it the “Dean of Spies,” Eslami said that this year the 13th of Aban is different because of Israel’s cruel actions, which are backed by the global arrogance led by the US.
He noted that people all over the world observe that all mottos and slogans about human rights are empty. On earth and in reality, we see that the lives of people and the rights of people are not valued.
He added that every nation needs to try hard to push the borders of knowledge; it is a requirement to make progress. “This is not just for development since the integrity and talents of Iranians depend on this.”
He noted that “We must pave the way for scientific progress and bring technology to the lives of people as part of our duty.”
He added that LASER is important in all fields for enhancing quality, increasing speed, and making things cheaper. There was a time we thought that LASER was a luxury technology, but today we see that LASER supports all developing fields in the developed world.
He noted that Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency, according to its goals, has a strong presence in all fields.
Fourteen knowledge-based companies have taken part in the exhibition.
A number of LASER tools, including a 3-kilowatt LASER cutting machine for cutting colorful metals with the ability to cut copper, aluminum, and brass, were unveiled at the exhibition. The machine has been made by Iranian researchers and is a base machine in the car-making and electronic industries.
Iran’s newest LASER achievements were also unveiled at the exhibition.
