The films include ‘Village Without Children’ by Reza Jamali, ‘Underground Celluloid’ by Ehsan Khoshbakht, ‘The Season of Green Plums’ by Ali Bayat, ‘The Dolls and Garbage’ by Manijeh Hekmat, ‘The Acrobat's Memories’ by Hamed Rajabi, ‘Earthly Verses’ by Ali Asgari and Alireza Khatami, ‘Deep Crack’ by Arman Zarrin Koub, and ‘Your Absence’ by Kaveh Sajadhosseini will be screened at the event, ISNA reported.
Iranian filmmakers Kamyar Mohsenin and Nastaran Molavi will also serve as judges in the main section of the festival.
This year's Barcelona Asian Film Festival, in its 12th edition, will showcase 100 experimental and independent films from modern Asian cinema, featuring films from 20 countries in Asia and the Pacific.
The films will be screened in five official sections: Panorama, Discovery, NETPAC, and Special Screening, all of which are competitive and will award a total of 18 prizes to the winners in different categories, as chosen by a jury of directors, film critics, and writers.
