Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York to discuss the Syrian conflict.
In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry said the trio also expressed concern about the escalating Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the situation in Lebanon, which they said was having a negative impact on Syria.
The meeting was part of the Astana Process, a diplomatic effort aimed at finding a resolution to the Syrian conflict.
