The president, who is on a visit to New York to attend the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, made the remarks during a roundtable with US journalists in response to a question about an alleged role of Iran in US student protests.
He referred to Iran’s restrictions for money transfer due to financial sanctions on the country which he said makes such claims unbelievable.
