Aref becomes Iran’s 1st Vice President

Mohammad-Reza Aref previously served as First Vice President under President Mohammad Khatami during his second term.

NOURNEWS: Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has appointed Mohammad-Reza Aref as his First Vice President.

President Pezeshkian stated, “Our joint promise is the document of perspective, general policies, and the 7th program, which must be prioritized with full capacity and all-out cooperation, utilizing all potentials.”

Mohammad-Reza Aref previously served as First Vice President under President Mohammad Khatami during his second term. He withdrew from the presidential race in 2013 and was subsequently elected to Iran’s Parliament as a representative of Tehran.

Aref's extensive governmental and executive experience includes roles such as Minister of Post and Telegraph, President of Tehran University, and President of Iran’s Planning and Management Organization.
