The Forgetful Biden Vs. the Criminal Trump: What have we learned from the debates?

In a letter addressing Democrats in Congress, Joe Biden, President of the United States, firmly announced that he would not withdraw from the election race. He asked his fellow party members to cease their demands for his withdrawal, which had been increasing since the debate between him and Donald Trump.

NOURNEWS: Joe Biden’s letter addresses senior members of the United States Congress who had called for his withdrawal from the electoral race. It is a response to an anxious and distressed party who have become worried about the future of the election a day after the Biden-Trump debate.

The Democratic Party is facing two high-risk options today: first, withdrawing Biden and introducing a replacement, and second, reviving the electoral campaign for his re-election.

Very soon, the Democrats will have to make a decision to ensure the future of their politics, even though Biden has clearly announced that he is not going to withdraw.

Addressing his fellow party members in a two-page letter, the US President emphasized that the Democrats have only one task and mission today: defeating Donald Trump, the likely Republican candidate in the November election.

Reminding the fact that the Democrats have fewer than 120 days until the general election, he warned that the Party’s lack of support will only help Trump.

The Democratic Party, addressed by Biden in the letter, is facing two different perspectives among its members: Some staunchly support Biden, believing that no one else can defeat Trump in one of the most pivotal competitions in the United States, while others, disappointed by Biden's performance in the debate with Trump, feel that the Party should not sacrifice its interests for the sake of Biden's age and forgetfulness.

The timing is not favorable for the Democrats. However, Biden’s campaign hopes that the Party and public opinion's focus on the legal cases and convictions of Donald Trump can be a winning ticket in the future election - the same pivot point that Biden describes as crucial to the election. Therefore, he asserts that he will only withdraw from the race if God asks him to!

Is Kamala Harris replacing Biden?

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris's name has been announced as the likely alternative to Biden. Harris, 59, previously served as a Senator and as Attorney General of California. She was appointed as the first Afro-Asian-American Vice President of the United States, serving under Biden. Certain polls show that Harris may perform better than Biden in confronting Trump, although she will face a tough contest as well. Some Democrats feel that Harris can attract voters who have lost their trust in Biden, including Black voters, youth, and those critical of Biden's handling of the Gaza War.

The Republicans face a challenging task with Trump

Nevertheless, some Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi, the former head of the US Congress, still support Biden and believe that only the current president can defeat Trump in the upcoming electoral campaign. This is particularly true because the former US president is embroiled in numerous convictions and charges and is more vulnerable than ever.

Trump has been found guilty of paying $130,000 in hush money to a porn actress before the 2016 presidential election, as well as concealing financial records related to that payment. However, the official announcement of Trump’s conviction has been delayed until the Republican Convention, which aims to determine and introduce the Republican candidate for the upcoming election. A similar convention will be held by the Democratic Party in six weeks.

Now we must wait and see if Joe Biden and Donald Trump can secure full support from their respective parties despite all the controversies, or if the Republicans and Democrats will change the game. Currently, both scenarios have left Americans disappointed.
