NOURNEWS- The following text is the exclusive interview of Kazem Jalali, Iran's ambassador to Moscow with Nournews' correspondent in Moscow. The interview is as follows:
Kazem Jalali: Russia's positions regarding the situation in Gaza have been appropriate since the beginning of the Zionist regime's brutal attacks against the people of Gaza; Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a few days after the Israeli attack on Gaza that the main issue of Palestine is “justice”.
He emphasized: Putin also criticized America's obstruction in the implementation of Security Council resolutions and said that America intends to solve the issue of Palestine and the world by showing heroic behavior and throwing money, which is not feasible.
Jalali added: Russia, as one of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, tried to amend the resolutions that America intended to pass unilaterally in favor of the Zionist regime and to condemn Hamas.
The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow continued: The Al-Aqsa storm operation was a historic and great failure of the Zionist regime, which future generations will write books about. The second failure of the regime was that it put the people of Gaza under the most brutal bombardment for more than 50 days, but neither heard a voice of protest from the people of Gaza nor was it able to break their resistance.
Furthermore, Mr. Jalali, touched upon the subject of the North-South Corridor and said: One of the highways that we must seriously move towards its completion is the North-South Corridor. Completing the North-South Corridor is more obligatory for Iran than anything.
He added: Everyone should try to do this for Iran itself. The future of Iran and Iranian generations is tied to this issue. Everyone, even if they have some criticism against the Islamic Republic of Iran, should help this highway pass through Iran.
According to Jalali, when the agreement to build the Rasht-Astara railway was signed in the presence of the Islamic President of Iran and the President of the Russian Federation, whispers were heard that it could not be based on Iranian nationalism.
The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that this corridor will make the 17,000-kilometer route of transporting goods from East Asia to Europe to 7,000 kilometers, and said: “Important parts of the North-South Corridor were delayed for years, and fortunately, now the 13th government is following it up with serious determination.
Kazem Jalali admitted: The eastern branch of the corridor (Russia-Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran) has the possibility of transferring 15 million tons of goods per year; This figure was zero until 2 years ago.
