NOURNEWS- The US is "a thief crying 'stop thief'" while taking the first place for the country that engages in surveillance and reconnaissance in the world. US intelligence agencies are looking to vastly expand the roster of countries, companies and even nonstate actors with whom they partner and deem as their allies, the strategy conducted by the Washington to further expand its influence in the cyberspace of other countries bears the risk of growing crises and dilemmas between different countries due to intrusive espionage activities conducted by the US-led intelligence alliance.
The move is part of a "rethink" ordered in the new National Intelligence Strategy, unveiled Thursday, which is aimed for better preparing the US for a range of threats that are no longer limited to traditional nation-state competitors such as the Islamic Republic of Iran, China, Russia or North Korea or terrorist groups such as al-Qaida and the Islamic State group.
The newly unveiled National Intelligence Strategy seeks to counter those trends by strengthening existing intelligence partnerships, including the "Five Eyes" arrangement with Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and by forging new ones.
The intelligence alliance of the US follows the same path as its economic and military alliances, is just a new attempt to strengthen its unilateral and destructive strategies against foreign independent countries. Sharing intelligence with allies and partners is an important means or prerequisite for the US to maintain its absolute advantage in the field of intelligence.
The security concept of the US is based on disregarding or weakening the security of other countries, it also means that intrusive espionage activities conducted by the intelligence alliance between the US and its allies will inevitably trigger more crises and dilemmas among nations.
It's worth to mention that, the US has long used its tech advantage to conduct massive surveillance and secret theft and cyber theft against its allies and the rest of the world, which has long been an open secret. The US should take a hard look in the mirror before it points its fingers at other countries.
Even Dr. Ahmadian the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said at the meeting of national security secretaries and advisers of the BRICS member countries: The lack of fair and just international laws in the cyber field has led to the US's destructive interventions at the global level.
He said at the meeting which was held on 24th of July: “Cyberspace bores many opportunities for human life and has given it a different face, but it can also pose countless threats to human societies and individuals, which necessitates that we face them intelligently.”
He said: “The lack of fair and just international laws in the field of cyberspace and the US having the ownership of worldwide internet management while creating platforms such as the Twitter, Google, Instagram etc., has caused the Washington to consider the international cyberspace as its sovereign territory and to rule over different countries, especially influence their national security sphere.”
The US is the No.1 country in surveillance and reconnaissance. It has long begun its plan to establish intelligence gathering and reconnaissance networks around the world by using emerging technologies. It is trying to build an absolute comparative advantage in information and intelligence competition in the fields of space, air, maritime and networks.
Washington hyping other countries' threats while emphasizing the dire need for protecting itself against other countries and cyber space-based threats against its state security is a great example of a thief crying and asking to stop other thieves.
The US government has not only carried out large-scale, systematic and in discriminatory cyber espionage against other countries in the world, but also attempted recently to deploy cyber forces to relevant countries in the name of capacity-building cooperation to infiltrate these countries' cyber systems.
The US has even resorted to media and other forms of disinformation and cognitive wars to accuse other countries of conducting cyber-attacks against Washington, in order to induce or coerce relevant countries, to receive US cyber force deployments, which is akin to inviting a wolf into their house, given the fact that the US leads the world in hacking technology.
This alliance not only endangers their own cybersecurity, but also turns themselves into a bridgehead or springboard for US government's cyber-attacks against other countries without their knowledge.
This indeed is an unhealthy concept as the US sacrifices the security of other countries to satisfy its own security demands. And it shows that the US and its allies’ ambition to control the international community while imposing their wills on other countries knows no boundaries if left alone and unchallenged
The working style of the US in the field of intelligence is similar to its working style in the field of diplomacy, with the aim of ensuring that the US can engage in espionage activities against other countries and maintain its overwhelming intelligence advantages, making every effort to prevent other countries from competing with the US in this field.
Such concepts and practices are very American. The US wants to establish a unique position in the global intelligence field with its technological and manpower advantages, making it difficult for other countries to match its capabilities, and achieve the effect of monitoring other countries while being immune to surveillance from other countries, or at least strive to achieve such an effect.
The US is the origin of cyber warfare and the biggest global cyber thief, and it is of common interest for all to reveal US' hypocrisy on cybersecurity. The so-called Clean Network and what the US calls "technology that reflects democratic values and interests" are just a pretext for it to unscrupulously conduct cyber thefts and attacks and ensure its supremacy.
As Dr, Ahmadian has said before, the only way to defend ourselves against such cyber oriented aggression and Americans’ growing unilateralism in the cyberspace is trough: “Signing of bilateral and multilateral cybersecurity memoranda between independent countries, cooperating in the formulation of laws and regulations related to global cybersecurity in various dimensions and coordinating their defensive strategies in international forums.”
