NOURNEWS- Due to the worsening of economic problems and the increase in the cost of living due to inflation and high prices, the homeless crisis has become so intense in Britain that even the media affiliated with the royal family have not been able to hide it.
In this regard; The BBC reported in a report: "If you cycle through the streets of London late at night, you may come across many people sleeping on the streets. According to the latest statistics, street sleeping has increased by 9% compared to last year. In the last three months, nearly 3,300 people have been sleeping on the streets of the British capital. More than half of them were sleeping in the streets for the first time."
However, media such as the BBC are finally trying to downplay the crisis of homelessness and are trying to say that the homeless population in Britain are immigrants from other countries such as Romanians, while highlighting the 500-million-pound budget of the British government to help the homeless people.
While the BBC claimed a 9% increase in homeless population compared to the previous year, the Independent newspaper wrote a month ago: The sad reflection of the cost of living crisis and the lack of affordable housing is the reason behind the 21% increase in the number of homeless people in London last year. A total of 10,530 people are living on the streets between April 2022 and March 2023, according to the Homelessness Report of the Greater London Authority.
The number of people sleeping in cartons in the same period last year was 8 thousand and 328. According to this report, 6,391 of these people are sleeping in cardboard boxes for the first time, which shows a 26% increase compared to 2021-22. About 2 thousand 84 people have been sleeping in cardboard boxes for two consecutive years.
Homelessness charities wrote to UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in early June to express their deep concern that the government will fail to meet its target of ending the homelessness crisis in the UK by 2024.
The economic crisis in Britain and the worsening of the reduction in purchasing power and the inability to pay rent are such that a new survey by the "YouGov" Institute shows that 66% of British citizens are dissatisfied with the performance of the conservative ruling government in the field of managing the country's important issues.
A support center in London recently announced that last year 1313 people in England lost their lives due to homelessness, which was an increase of 85% compared to 2019.
Statistics show that in the first quarter of this year, more than 74,000 British households turned to local councils and asked for help due to being at risk of homelessness.
In October of last year, "Evening Standard" newspaper wrote: According to the results of a survey among more than 2,000 renters, nearly a third of them (32%) said that at least half of their household income is spent on paying rent.
In 2019, the statistics showed that the number of homeless youth in London increased by 47% compared to the previous year. In 2017, according to a survey conducted by the "YouGov" Institute in Britain, about 50% of the people of this country say that the number of homeless people in this country has increased compared to the last 10 years.
Earlier, in 2014, the officials responsible for organizing the homeless people in England stated that the number of these people has increased by 50% compared to the last 5 years, in words that show the inability and unwillingness of the British government to solve this crisis. Stated that they are trying to accommodate the homeless in different religious centers to save them from the cold.
Of course, these statistics are not the beginning of the statistics of homelessness in Britain, as in 2012, several charitable and non-governmental organizations announced that the number of homeless people in this country increased by 34% in three years. They stated that at least 185,000 people have been added to the number of homeless people in Britain every year.
At the time, it was mentioned that the findings of non-governmental organizations also show that obvious examples of homelessness, such as sleeping in the streets, have increased by about six percent in England and by 13 percent in the City of London.
The above-mentioned facts have been ruling England for years, while official reports show that the royal family spent hundreds of millions of pounds on celebrations and aristocratic ceremonies, from the birth and wedding of members of the royal family to the death of the queen and the coronation of Charles III from the pockets of British taxpayers.
In such a situation, the demand of 70% of the British people for republicanism and the elimination of the monarchy system is severely suppressed and the media of the royal family are nauseatingly justifying this repression and the necessity of continuing the monarchy system.
On the other hand; Britain, while claiming to save other nations and create a better life for them, continues to use the same strategies used in its dark past to occupy, destroy, and wage war in line with its black history of anti-humanity, or seditious prescribes the prescription of disintegration and chaos in other countries.
