Iran's position in achieving BRICS' security-oriented goals

The West, which once claimed to use sanctions isolation of Iran and forcing this country to surrender, today not only the West has not achieved its goals, but the world may be seeing the decline of the West's unilateralism and the global approach to deal with it.

NOURNEWS- The meeting of the secretaries and advisers of the national security of member states of BRICS and its friend countries under the title of "Examination of cybersecurity as a developmental challenge for global security" started today, Monday, 24 July in the city of Johannesburg, the largest city in South Africa.

"Ali Akbar Ahmadian", the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, has also departed for South Africa at the invitation of the South African government to participate in this meeting at the head of a delegation.

Inviting the Islamic Republic of Iran with its extensive experience in dealing with various aspects of terrorism, including in the cyber field, showcases the global interest in learning and using these experiences.

Before this meeting, the BRICS Plus Political Parties Dialogue conference started in Johannesburg on Tuesday, July 18, with the speech of Paul Shipokosa Mashatile, the Vice President of South Africa, and the presence of Iran.

Asadollah Badamchian, the Secretary General of Islamic Coalition Party, participated in this conference at the invitation of Fikile Mbalula, the Secretary-General of the African National Congress (ANC), the ruling party of South Africa.

Meanwhile, on July 3, South African Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor, in a conversation with the minister of foreign affairs of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, also pointed to the president of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa’s official invitation to his Iranian counterpart Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi, she emphasized on the presence of the president in the BRICS summit.

Before that, in the middle of June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in the meeting of foreign ministers and friends of BRICS in South Africa and gave a speech.

The sum of these developments up to today's presence of the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of our country at the BRICS meeting, while its expressing Iran's determination to participate actively and effectively in the largest global alliance, reveals the balanced and pragmatic continuation of diplomacy of the 13th government of Iran, which has achieved a wide range of regional, transregional and global relations in the form of bilateral and multilateral relations.

This approach, along with the neutralization of sanctions and moving in the direction of securing Iran's national interests, should be seen as the foundation for accelerating Iran's positioning in its true regional and global position as an active and influential country.

On the other hand; BRICS represents almost half of the world's population, which represents about one-fifth of the world's economy, and Iran's all-round participation in the form of friend nations of BRICS, whose request for membership was also widely welcomed by the members, shows the widespread global trust in Iran and the illusory and baseless claims of the West in regards to Iran being a global threat.

It is noteworthy that at the same time as the global sphere approach to Iran, it is the West that is facing a negative global view, as according to published reports, the French president was not invited to the BRICS meeting.

The President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa sent invitations to the leaders of 70 countries to attend the African Union Summit, however, the name of the French President was not included. Also, the leaders of the US and Britain were not invited to this meeting.

Earlier, the French foreign minister confirmed that Macron had asked the South African president to give her the opportunity to attend the BRICS meeting in Johannesburg.

The BRICS summit will be held at the end of August. The BRICS group currently consists of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

To be more precise; Inviting Iran and refusing to accept the request of countries such as France, Britain and the US is a clear sign for the inadmissibility of the West's claims regarding Iran's nuclear and security threats to the world, which shows the politicization and the emptiness of the West's claims in the recent meetings of the Human Rights Council, the Security Council regarding Iran, or the claim of the US for sending troops and cruise ships to the Persian Gulf as an insurance against threats of Iran.

On the other hand; The widespread interest in the convergence of BRICS members with Iran is derived from the fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with other aligned and interested countries, can be a reliable partner for BRICS in the future.

Iran can be an important partner for BRICS with its high experience of active presence in international institutions and initiatives, massive energy reserves, short and cheap transportation and transit networks, trained manpower and impressive scientific achievements, and above all, a strong will to participate in creation of a just order in the world.

The important point in this context is the role and position that Iran can play in the field of modern global multilateralism as a stable and sound model against the unilateralism of the West.

All of these components express the importance and effective and comprehensive role of Iran in global multilateralism, which has been welcomed by everyone.

The West, which once claimed to use sanctions isolation of Iran and forcing this country to surrender, today not only the West has not achieved its goals, but the world may be seeing the decline of the West's unilateralism and the global approach to deal with it.

Meanwhile; At the same time, ever-increasing desire for further cooperation and convergence with Iran is gaining momentum, and the development of regional countries' relations and their tendency for achieving a security cooperation with Tehran, especially in securing the Persian Gulf without the presence of foreigners, Iran's permanent membership in SCO, and the acceptance of the Islamic Republic of Iran as a member of BRICS is an undeniable manifestation of this fact.
