Official membership in the SCO; When strategy overcomes tactics

The art of the set of decision-making and implementing bodies of the country's foreign policy, which, while maintaining country’s red lines, by focusing on the principle of securing national interests and relying on the strategy of regional diplomacy and interaction with neighboring countries, can define a system that meets its needs and demands at various times.

NOURNEWS- The official membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the SCO is considered a revealing point of our country's dynamic, multi-dimensional and balanced foreign policy in the international system.

A balanced foreign policy means the exact estimation of the strategic weight of other countries and determining their point view in regards of Iran's national interests.

One of the essentials of this macro view is to use the strategic capacity of countries like China, Russia and the members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Eurasia, BRICS and other circles and assemblies that are exposed to the combined war of the West like us.

Looking to the East idiom, means strategic synergy between Iran, Russia and China against the common threats of the West, contrary to what the Westerners are trying to induce, it is a concept that is completely opposite to concepts such as dependence on the East and it is incidentally derived from the strength of our country's international acting in the form of a balanced foreign politics.

Based on the logic that lies in this type of strategic view, strengthening the points of commonality and synergy with the countries provides the national interests of the parties, while on the opposite point, the Western countries are basically not willing to determine the points of commonality, cooperation and synergy for the benefit of the parties and always look from top to bottom.

For example, the US is one the common strategic enemies of Iran, Russia and China; this common enemy has brought Iran, Russia and China together around one axis. In American foreign policy, these three countries are constant threats, and in this sense, the possibility of establishing strategic communication between Tehran, Moscow and Beijing is a strategic principle in order to secure national interests.

This rule is also true for the Shanghai and BRICS agreements, where Russia and China are considered to be the main actors.

Now, Iran's official membership in SCO has naturally led to dissatisfaction and panic on the western side, and the crystallization of anger and blackmail strategies by the western and anti-revolutionary media can also be interpreted in the same direction.

Undoubtedly, what happened during the official announcement of Iran's membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is considered a turning point in the balanced foreign policy of the Islamic Republic, which, by placing the principle of securing national interests, was able to provide space for maximum benefit in this regard.

Another important point is the originality of the strategic view and the need to create strategic alliances in the field of our country's foreign policy.

In the field of international relations, every country needs to monitor its threats and opportunities and find partners with whom it can have synergy in the form of strategic agreements and understandings in the short and long term, and this field has now been provided with Russia after China.

In other words; Although the national interests of each country has its own definition and coordinates, and each country in the international system definitely has differences and points of difference with other countries, but in addition to creating and strengthening the components that generate power and authority, a significant part of the national interests must be The artistic game framework was searched and provided in this field.

So, in and strategic overview; The art of the set of decision-making and implementing bodies of the country's foreign policy, which, while maintaining country’s red lines, by focusing on the principle of securing national interests and relying on the strategy of regional diplomacy and interaction with neighboring countries, can define a system that meets its needs and demands at various times.

This happened well in the process of the official membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and can become an operational model in order to form other strategic cooperation in the field of international relations.
