NOURNEWS - "Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi", who traveled to Tehran yesterday to meet with Iranian officials, met  with the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly ( Iran Parliament ), Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf, today, Wednesday, August 1, 2020.
During the meeting with the Iraqi Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Parliament emphasized that Iraq has a high position for Iranian, and said: "The political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries are deepening at the highest level."
Qalibaf considered the development of trade and economic relations and exchanges with Iraq as a strategic partner, as well as with other neighbors, as the first priority of the parliament.
Emphasizing that the United States has violated Iraqi territory and has rudely assassinated those who risked their lives to crush the bones of terrorism, and that this is not an easy task, he said: "Therefore, the great case of American assassination must be pursued vigorously."
Al-Kadhimi also met yesterday with the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, President Hassan Rouhani, and Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.
