"Europe has historically failed to stop Zionist regime's violation of Int'l law (i.e. Palestinians' suppression, lands' annexation) committed in the name of Israel security," he added.

"Why afraid of 'referendum' in Palestine as a lasting solution?," he noted.

According to IRNA, the Zionist regime intends to make new settlements and annexation parts of West Bank in the coming months.

He called on the United Nations and other international organizations to counter these moves as defined in their duties and responsibilities.

Some European countries have threatened to change the basis of their relations with Tel Aviv if the Israeli regime decides to annex the West Bank.

EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell has said 27 EU member states will not recognize Israeli sovereignty over the territory.

Borell reiterated that the EU’s position on the “status of the territories occupied by Israel in 1967 remains unchanged. In line with international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, including resolutions 242 and 338, the European Union does not recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the occupied West Bank.’’

United Nations expressed that there is a danger that any hope of peace between the Palestinians and Israel could be dashed.
