In a letter to Pezeshkian on Saturday, Pololikashvili congratulated him on his recent election victory.
He recalled a previous visit to Iran, where he was impressed by the country's cultural heritage and hospitality.
The UN Tourism chief expressed confidence in establishing exemplary cooperation between his agency and Iran's Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts during Pezeshkian's presidency.
Pezeshkian won Iran's presidential runoff election on July 5, 2024, defeating rival Saeed Jalili. He will replace the late President Ebrahim Raisi, who passed away in a helicopter crash in May.
