How to select the acting foreign minister
According to Article 135 of the Iran Constitution, when a ministry is without a minister, the president can appoint a caretaker for up to three months.
Under Article 131 of the Constitution, in the event of the president's death during their term, the First Vice President assumes the president's duties and responsibilities with the approval of the Leader.
